As president of McDonald Public Relations, Inc., McDonald directs a professional staff that provides media counsel and issue management for a wide range of corporate, association, trade group and coalition clients.

McDonald has extensive experience in corporate communications, politics, and government and as a member of the working press. McDonald has a diverse background in all types of communications endeavors. His experience includes directing crisis communications for some of the biggest companies in the country, editing small-town newspaper and running successful political campaigns. McDonald has a track record of successfully developing long-term press strategies and helping clients craft a public message to achieve their objectives.

He has worked closely with the Texas news media since 1990, and is regularly featured in political and public policy articles in Texas. McDonald also does television and newspaper commentary on a variety of topics.

McDonald brings more than a decade of experience as a newspaper reporter and editor to work for his clients. McDonald has also worked closely with most of the television and print journalists in the state. He has done media training sessions for state and national conferences including the National Organization of Women Legislators, and the Texas Democratic Party.

McDonald earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Texas Tech University. He is married and the father of four children.
